So, I just got done playing a new brew in the 7'o clock daily. My friend and co-blogger, Jonathan, and I have been working on it for a week or so. He has lovingly named it Hardened Allies. Here's the list:

Honestly, I think it is tier 1 compatible. My first round was against Scapeshift: I out-lifegained him game 1, and game 2 I was able to gain a little life with paladin, and then beat down from there.
Creature (26)
- 4x Hada Freeblade
- 3x Jwari Shapeshifter
- 2x Kabira Evangel
- 4x Kazandu Blademaster
- 3x Ondu Cleric
- 4x Oran-Rief Survivalist
- 3x Talus Paladin
- 3x Umara Raptor
Artifact (4)
Land (20)
Sideboard (15)
Instant (6)
Enchantment (4)

The 2nd round was against UR Delver. Yup. That’s right. Allies brought the hurt down on Delver. Granted, he was mana screwed game 1 and he won game two due to him killing all of my guys, but I was able to out race him on game three with hardened scales.
Unfortunately I timed out round three. I was up against rock rhino, rhino rock….but with pod? Anyway, he abrupt decayed me into oblivion the first game but not before I got above 120 life! Despite this arbitrarily high life total, I think I made a play mistake game one when I attacked one turn and lost too many of my men. But that’s ok, cause the Allies brought the beat downs game 2!!! But with only 2 minutes remaining, it was scoop face…
The 4th round was cool because I played against one of my buddies ‘Lordmorpeth’. It was a straight beat down, but on his end. He was playing an anti-delver deck with vedalken shackles, supreme verdict, and the vigilance, life-gain artifact, phyrexian thingy...yeah, you get the picture. Odds were pretty stacked against me.
Overall, friends, the deck is surprisingly good. I’ve won a lot in the tourney rooms. I would suggest playing it yourself. It’s very fun, and brings the hurt the old fashioned way B-)
Things to look forward to: A set by set guide to modern staples by Matt, a primer on enchantment prison decks by your's truly, and funzy decks to play at the next modern tourney by Jonathan. Stay tuned awesome people! -Aubrey
